21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
We invite you to join us for 21 days of prayer and fasting, setting aside intentional time to seek God, align our hearts with His, and believe for spiritual renewal, clarity, and breakthrough.
Fasting is a biblical practice that helps quiet distractions and heighten our spiritual sensitivity. There is no single “right” way to fast — the goal is not deprivation, but devotion. Below are several fasting options to prayerfully consider as you participate:
Types of Fasts
• Full Fast
Abstaining from all food while drinking water or clear liquids. This fast is typically done for shorter periods and should be approached prayerfully and wisely.
• Partial Fast (Daniel Fast)
Eating simple foods such as vegetables, fruits, and whole grains while avoiding meats, sweets, and rich foods. This is a common choice for extended fasts.
• Liquid Fast
Consuming only liquids such as water, broths, or juices. Many choose this option as a balance between intensity and sustainability.
• Absolute (Dry) Fast
Abstaining from both food and water for a very short time. This fast is biblical but intense and should only be done briefly and with discernment.
• Non-Food Fast
Choosing to fast from things like social media, television, entertainment, or other distractions in order to focus more fully on prayer and God’s Word.
Why We Fast
Throughout Scripture, fasting is connected to:
Seeking God’s direction and wisdom
Humbling ourselves before the Lord
Repentance and spiritual renewal
Interceding for others
Preparing for new seasons and assignments
We encourage you to pray about which fast the Holy Spirit is leading you to do. Whether you fast from food or from distractions, let this be a season of intentional prayer, Scripture, and closeness with God.
